Hourly Hire

Hourly Chauffeur Hire Sydney

Hourly chauffeur hire in Sydney keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a half or full day. You direct where you go and when, the car waits between stops, and your belongings stay on board. It is the simplest way to handle a day with several appointments or an open finish time.

How hourly chauffeur hire works

Hourly hire, sometimes called as-directed hire, books your chauffeur and vehicle by the hour rather than for a single transfer. Once the car is with you, you set the itinerary: meetings, lunch, a showroom, an event, then home. The chauffeur waits between stops so there is nothing to rebook and no car to hail again.

When you book, tell us your start time and roughly what the day involves. A rough plan is enough to begin; you can adjust stops and timings as the day unfolds. A minimum booking period applies, which we confirm at the time of booking.

When hourly hire makes sense

Hourly hire suits any day where a single point-to-point transfer does not fit, either because there are several stops or because the finish time is uncertain.

  • Business meetings spread across the CBD, North Sydney and the suburbs
  • Executive roadshows and investor days with back-to-back appointments
  • A day that combines an airport pickup with meetings before check-in
  • Shopping and personal errands with bags kept in the car
  • Events, race days and functions with an open finish time
  • Hosting visiting clients or guests who need a car on call

Roadshows and back-to-back meetings

For roadshows, investor days and meeting-heavy schedules, hourly hire keeps one chauffeur and vehicle with you from the first stop to the last. Bags stay in the car, there is no re-briefing between legs, and the run is planned before the day begins so each arrival is on time.

Executive assistants often book this way on behalf of teams and senior travellers, with the day billed to a corporate account and a single point of contact for changes.

Events and evenings with an open finish

When you do not know exactly when a dinner, function or performance will wrap up, hourly hire takes the guesswork out of getting home. Your chauffeur is nearby for the finish rather than an unknown wait for a car, and the same driver who dropped you off takes you home.

The car waits, so you do not

The value of hourly hire is the waiting. Between each stop the vehicle stays with you at no extra scramble, so a meeting that runs long or a lunch that stretches does not cost you a car. You keep the same clean vehicle, the same chauffeur and the same boot for your belongings all day.

Choosing a vehicle for the day

For one to three passengers a luxury sedan such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or BMW 7 Series is the usual choice. For small groups travelling together, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class seats up to seven with room for luggage, which keeps everyone in one vehicle across the day.

Frequently asked questions

What does as-directed hourly hire mean?

It means your chauffeur and vehicle are booked by the hour and stay with you, and you direct where you go and when. The car waits between stops rather than being booked as separate transfers.

Is there a minimum number of hours?

Yes, a minimum booking period applies. We confirm it when you book, based on the day you have planned.

Does the car wait between stops?

Yes. Waiting between stops is the point of hourly hire. Your chauffeur stays with you and your belongings remain in the vehicle for the whole booking.

Can I change the plan during the day?

Yes. A rough itinerary is enough to begin, and you can adjust stops and timings as the day unfolds. Your chauffeur works to the plan as it changes.

Can hourly hire combine an airport pickup with meetings?

What is the cancellation policy for hourly hire?

Hourly (as-directed) hire can be cancelled with 48 hours' notice at no charge. No-shows are charged in full.

Which vehicle is best for a group for the day?
